Craft mornings and a little exploring

Before he started school, Tim sometimes went along with Bridget when the ladies met to work on crafts at the old St. Joseph High School. He remembers:

“Before I started school my mom would take me with her when the ladies met to do craft projects. It was in the abandoned St. Joseph High School in what appeared to be a prayer chapel. When I was brave enough I would explore the old abandoned school.”

Bridget and the Craft Ladies

A newspaper notice gives another glimpse of Bridget’s work with the Craft Ladies of St. Joseph’s Church. In August 1977, it listed her alongside Amy Bills and Mary Farnen as contacts for special orders of craft items to be ready for the annual fall festival in late November.

And then there were nine

When Tim arrived in 1972, the Salisbury newspaper introduced him as Bob and Bridget’s ninth child. He joined eight older brothers and sisters in the family.
