Ron’s newspaper photographs: Bridget’s prize-winning “Having Fun” snapshot and the FFA camp group, 1976.
More school-day photographs: David and Dan’s 1970 basketball squad and Dan and Greg’s 1975 senior portraits, both preserved as complete newspaper pages.
From the newspaper album: David, Dan, Betty and Ron together in “Citizens of Tomorrow,” published in 1963. The original clipping is preserved with their childhood stories.
Other family keepsakes include J. F. Roling’s wooden tool chest and John Deere keepsakes from the dealership, pictured with their stories on the business-history page.
Tim Roling remembers that his father’s wedding ring had been on his hand and would not come off for many years. He recalls Raymond Morrison cutting it off in the back of the John Deere dealership, probably in the late 1980s. The account and approximate date are Tim’s recollection.
